How To Evangelize

The most effective way to evangelize is through our personal example. To quote Saint Francis of Assisi, "Spread the gospel, sometimes use words." As practicing Catholics, others will witness how our faith has blessed us with full lives that are productive, prosperous and peaceful. Others will wish to join us. What do we say? What should we do?

ANGEL    Consider sharing The Catholic Action Principles™ books with family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and students. Even people who don't ordinarily read books will accept and will read this book. It's easy to carry and easy to understand. It is faith based common sense. These books are a non-intrusive catalyst to create positive conversations at home, at work and in society. Give. Wait. Listen. Discuss. Encourage.

Donate books to your local Catholic schools, CCD and CYO programs. With permission, leave books in the back of your church for your fellow parishioners. Supply books for use by Campus Ministers, Hospital Chaplains, Military Chaplains, Prison Chaplains, Nursing Home Chaplains and other Catholic counselors and outreach workers.

If you own a business, being a practicing Catholic is good for business. Have books available as your free gift to interested customers, clients, patrons and patients.

Be an anonymous evangelic angel. The Catholic Action Principles™ books are an inexpensive tool to spread Good News. Leave books in public places where they will be picked up. Often your books will be mindlessly discarded but sometimes, they will mindfully change a life. You may never know the stranger in physical or emotional anguish who is comforted by your gift. You may never know the teen swayed to make a good choice. You may never know the lapsed Catholic who finds reasons to return to the Church. You may never know but God will know. Have faith.

Other Ways To Evangelize

Matthew 28:19-20

We, the laity, comprise 98% of the Catholic Church. Through our prayers and our example, we must assume the major responsibility for reform and growth in the Church. As a Catholic evangelist, you are planting the seeds of faith that may blossom into a conversion or help an individual become reborn. Your efforts may not reap immediate results. At times, your sincerity will be mocked and rejected. Your obligation is to remain calm, patient and understanding of another's religious beliefs. Pray for the intercession of the Holy Spirit in your work.
